Export-Oriented Development Boosts Iron-Tech’s Operations in Szigetvár

2026. 04. 02.

Specialized in metal processing, Iron-Tech has announced a nearly EUR 6.5 million capacity expansion and energy efficiency investment. The project will create 6 new jobs at the company’s Szigetvár site.

The Polish-owned company, with decades of experience, is a well-established player in Hungary’s engineering industry, specializing in precision CNC machining. Employing nearly 300 people, the company is a key employer in the Szigetvár region. As an active participant in international supply chains, it serves partners across multiple industries—including automotive and machinery manufacturing—through the production of custom and small-series components.

As part of the company’s new investment, Iron-Tech is installing a new production line for manufacturing hydraulic pump components. The system, consisting of three fully automated production cells, will expand the capacity of Iron-Tech’s fully export-oriented engineering division. The company produces exclusively for international markets, primarily serving German customers.

The project also includes the installation of a solar power system and related energy storage infrastructure, which will cover approximately half of the division’s electricity demand. The nearly EUR 6.5 million investment will contribute to reducing the company’s environmental footprint and improving operational efficiency.

The investment was secured through an international site selection process, with the Szigetvár location selected over alternative sites in Poland. The development further strengthens the economy of Southern Transdanubia and contributes to the region’s industrial growth.
