The investment, which will create more than 200 jobs, has reached another milestone.
Founded in Silicon Valley but registered in Singapore, Flex has grown into a multinational, diversified manufacturing company over the past 50 years. The company currently operates in 30 countries with more than 100 subsidiaries. Flex designs and manufactures intelligent products that connect scientific and technological developments across multiple industrial sectors.
As part of a €90 million investment, the company is building a manufacturing plant and warehouse, with the latter's foundation stone being laid recently in Zalaegerszeg. The project focuses on the production of state-of-the-art electric and hybrid vehicle components and will create 210 new jobs, of which 20 will be dedicated to research and development. The new units will produce components for OEM companies, as well as TIER1 suppliers.
Flex predominantly collaborates with domestic suppliers, which enhances the competitiveness of the local market and strengthens the economic position of the county.
The company’s long-term cooperation with educational institutions is exemplary, as demonstrated by its partnership with Pannon University and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in dual education programs.
