NeocoreGames Launches R&D Project in Budapest
Hungarian-owned NeocoreGames Development Kft., a leading player in the video game industry, is implementing a new research and development project in Budapest. The €11.3 million investment introduces new technologies and more exciting narrative techniques that elevate the gaming experience to the next level.
The innovative software being developed, along with the new game engine and user-friendly content creation tools, will make it possible to create the first fully Hungarian-developed AAA video game. The triple-A category refers to high-budget developments that are at the cutting edge both technologically and in terms of content. This project represents not only a milestone for the domestic gaming industry but also carries significant professional value on an international level.
The investment creates 12 new, high-value-added jobs, bringing the company’s total workforce to more than 100 skilled professionals.
NeocoreGames, which has been operating successfully for 20 years and has developed 13 proprietary games, generates 100% of its revenue from exports, with its main markets being the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China.
Nearly 90% of the company’s products are high-quality intellectual creations, which means no raw materials are required for their production. The necessary technologies are developed in-house through the company’s R&D activities, ensuring that all innovations are entirely Hungarian-made.
NeocoreGames is driving the growth of the Hungarian gaming sector, attracting international professional and investor attention. The company collaborates with multiple Hungarian universities, regularly hosts interns and open days, and supports students in completing their theses, actively contributing to the training of the next generation of professionals.
