HIPA Expands Supplier Development Program with Professional Trainings

HIPA has launched a series of professional training sessions as part of its new supplier development program, aimed at enabling a growing number of Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises to join the value chains of international companies operating in the country.

Held at HIPA’s headquarters in Budapest, the first training session brought together representatives from 15 companies. Participants deepened their expertise in several areas of business development. They gained methodological and practical insights that can directly contribute to operational efficiency and foster cooperation with international partners.

Strengthening the knowledge base of Hungarian enterprises is a key pillar of HIPA’s supplier development strategy, designed to help local companies establish partnerships with large foreign investors present in Hungary.

In addition to trainings, HIPA supports the integration of Hungarian companies into international value chains through various tools, including supplier forums organized with major corporations such as BYD and GE Vernova.

The HIPA Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency was established in 2014 as a national investment promotion organisation, governed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The agency’s most important task is to provide professional assistance to foreign and Hungarian companies wishing to invest in Hungary. Between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2024, HIPA guided 2,200 projects in value of EUR 59.2 billion to create almost 170,000 new jobs.
