Major Investment Elevates Miskolc in Bosch's Global Value Chain

German industry giant Bosch has completed a nearly 100,000-square-meter logistics and warehouse center in Miskolc, the EUR 150 million investment will supply 26 countries with a wide range of Bosch products.
The 98,500 m2 complex further strengthens Miskolc's standing in Bosch Group's global value chain.
Located on the site of a former municipal airport, the significance of the investment extends far beyond the town, the region, or even Hungary. The highly automated facility not only serves Bosch’s nearby plants but also acts as a supply hub for East-Central Europe’s distribution centers, handling finished products from Bosch’s power tool factories, among others.
The new facility also processes orders from customers in Hungary and the Adriatic region, and receives raw materials from suppliers in Europe and beyond, which will then be distributed to production facilities based on the assembly line needs.
Situated near the M30 motorway and the 92th railway line, the center also plays a key role in storing and distributing finished products, including automotive components, as well as managing the packaging materials for suppliers and customers.

The EUR 147.6 million investment, facilitated with the assistance of HIPA, further strengthens Bosch Group’s presence in Hungary as well. With close collaboration between its eight Hungarian subsidiaries, the German company is one of the country’s largest employers, providing jobs for more than 18,000 people.
Bosch Group has been a strategic partner of the Hungarian government since 2013. Globally, the company employs nearly 420,000 people, with a revenue of EUR 90.5 billion last year.
