Coca-Cola Continues with Plan to Make its Hungarian Site to CEE’s Largest Manufacturing Hub

Coca-Cola celebrated yet another milestone on the way to turning its plant in Dunaharaszti the largest manufacturing hub of the region. The American company inaugurated a state-of-the-art PET bottle production line and a brand new production hall in total value of HUF 8.7 billion.

Coca-Cola has invested over HUF 135 billion since it established its Hungarian subsidiary 27 years ago. The company is now in the middle of its plan to effect investments totaling HUF 30 billion thru 2025. Accordingly, Dunaharaszti may become the largest manufacturing hub in CEE.

The newly inaugurated project can help make that reality. First of all, a state-of-the-art PET bottle production line has been installed that will surge soda manufacturing capacity by 30%. As a result, hourly production is set to reach 36,000 bottles.

On the other hand, the behemoth also built a new production hall from its own funds. Auxiliary developments such as the improvement of warehouse efficiency have also been carried out.
