High-Tech Expansion in one of the Largest Hungarian Foundries

CSABAcast Kft., one of Hungary’s leading light metal foundries, is ready to contribute to the production of fully electric vehicles, as a result of a major upgrade of the Heves County-based facility.
The EUR 30.9 million investment in the industrial park of Apc, located 60 kilometers East from Budapest, centers around a new 6.000 square-meter production hall equipped with high-performance, near-fully automated aluminum casting equipment.
As the main achievement of the project – implemented with the support of HIPA – CSABAcast is capable of manufacturing components for fully electric vehicles, opening the door to new markets as a supplier.
Another key element of the development is a significant expansion of the plant’s solar park, increasing its capacity from 2.5 megawatts to 3.6 megawatts, along with the installation of an energy storage unit with a capacity of 4 megawatt-hours.
