Another investment is being launched in the Hungarian factory of Joyson Safety Systems. By maintaining the current headcount, under the EUR 50 million project efficiency is being improved and production volume is being increased by installing new machinery and manufacturing.
Joyson Safety Systems, which has headquarters in the Unites States and belongs to the Chinese Joyson Electronics, is part of the division featuring passenger safety products. Employing over 50,000 people, they are present in 25 countries worldwide. The company group has recently secured substantial acquisitions including the Japanese Takata Group, the largest investment of which was the establishment of the manufacturing unit in Miskolc.
The Miskolc complex of Joyson is one of the largest automotive airbag production unit in the world, where life saving and protective products are manufactured for the greatest car manufacturers on 60,000 square meters. Apart from producing complete air bag modules and components, as well as inflator and electronic products, the Hungarian unit represents high-tech in the fields of product development, testing and also customer service.
